Inside Siri’s Mind: The Human Language Technology Lecture Series Podcast

How does Siri manage to make sense of our spoken requests, and reply with unflappable grace? MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), in cooperation with the Siri team at Apple, has started an iTunes U podcast series on spoken language systems. The series

…invites leading researchers in Human Language Technology (HLT) to give lectures that introduce the fundamentals of spoken language systems, assess the current state of the art, outline challenges, and speculate on how they can be met. Lectures occur 2-3 times per semester and should be accessible to undergraduates with some technical background.

The first three sessions are up now, with more to come.
