The BBC World Service recorded an interview on the MIT campus today with Media Lab Director Joi Ito about the Internet’s impact on politics and economics. Here’s the description from the BBC site:

But with Egypt’s so-called Facebook revolution in serious jeopardy and anxieties all over the world that the web is being used by governments to spy on their citizens, is this optimism misplaced?
